This is Egwene Al'Vere during her imprisonment as a Damane when she was caught by the Seanchan. To explain a bit to those who are not in contact with Robert Jordan's world (author of the books), a Damane is a woman with the ability of controlling magic. A damane wears a collar and a chain (like a dog) and the Suldam (another woman, always a woman), the damane`s owner, carries her using a bracelet. The dispositive of chain, collar and bracelte is called "Adam" (if my memory is not failling) and it allows the Suldam to manage completely the Damane. A Suldam can oblige the Damane to use her magic as a weapon. Damane are enslaved and used as tools. Egwene is sad because she`s not able, even, of moving the bracelet without her Suldam`s permission (she would feel sick if she does) and she has been severely punished for her formers attempts of escape. If you want to know more about this, read The wheel of Time, by Robert Jordan, the best books I've ever read (It`s a shame that story doesnt have its own movie yet!).The story of the Seanchan is just anohter small part, another adventure in the hugh Jordan's world.
About this illustration, Im not completely happy, and I will make some corrections in the future, but I think that sometimes I have to surrender and keep improving with new works... I draw this based on a picture of my cousin Vanessa, her pose was a little "twisted" altough ^^. I suppose I will change her legs, maybe I will coverthem with the dress, but I was so happy with the skin tone that I couldn`t cover them T_T.

Esta es Egwene Al'Vere durante su cautiverio como Damane, cuando fue atrapada por los Seanchan, un pueblo soberbio y cruel. Para explicar un poco a aquellos que no estan en contacto con el mundo de Robert Jordan (autor de la historia), la damane es una mujer con la habilidad de "encauzar" (manipular el Poder mágico). La Damane usa un collar y una correa en cuyo otro extremo hay un brazalete, este brazalete va en la muñeca de la Suldam (la dueña se la Damane) y la lleva como si fuese un perro. La Suldam obliga a la damane a utilizar el Poder como arma, y si la Damane trata de rebelarse, el mismo collar (artilugio llamado, si la memoria no me falla, Adam). Aqui Egwene esta triste porque ni siquiera es capaz de mover el brazalete sin permiso de su Suldam, pues el hechizo del Adam la haria sentir muy descompuesta, ademas ha sido castigada duranmente por sus intentos de escape. Si quieren saber mas, pueden leer el libro de Jordan "La Rueda del Tiempo" de los mejores libros que he leído; una verguenza que esa increible historia no tenga todavia su prropia pelicula. La historia de los Seanchan es solo una pequeña parte, una aventura más de la extensa saga de Jordan.
Sobre esta ilustracion, bueno, no estoy completamente satisfecha con ellay hare algunas correcciones en el futuro cercano; pienso que a veces es bueno dar por concluida una pieza y continuar mejorando con las siguientes, pero bueno, mania de pulir que no se me va! la dibuje basada en una fotografia de mi prima vanessa, que tenia una pose medio extraña pero me gusto igual.Creo que le cambiare las piernas, probablemente se las cubra con el vestido, pero estaba tan contenta con el tono de la piel que no pude hacerlo despues T_T!
